Tránsito On Full Alert
For Semana Santa
Although the new Ley de Tránsito, which
unlike the law it replaced, punishes drunk
drivers with jail time went into effect last
December 23, the number of drunk drivers
hasn't decreased by much. The director de la
Policía de Tránsito, Germán Marín, said that
between December 23 and yesterday, 859 drunk
drivers have fallen into the hands of
traffic officials.
