Abound For Easter Holidays
(InfoWebPress) – Costa Rica’s tourism
industry is offering a variety of deals to
encourage people to vacation during the
upcoming Holy Week, or Easter holidays.
Promotions include destinations in the
Southern Caribbean, the North Pacific coast
and the Central Valley, among others, and
expire on April 30.
Selections are abundant, with deals
including hotels, reservations, lodges,
restaurants, transportation, auto rentals
and tours.
The increased number of incentives this year
is due to the fact that vacation centers,
unlike other years, are showing a reduction
in tourist occupancy.
“Holy Week vacations have always mobilized a
large number of foreign tourists to various
parts of Guanacaste, La Fortuna and
Monteverde, among others, but we want the
domestic market to be the one that benefits
from these offers, accessible prices,
discounts and the variety of paradisiacal
destinations they can choose from,” said
Gonzalo Vargas, president of the Costa Rican
Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR).
Recreational options during this time of the
year include adventure and rural tourism,
beach and mountain hotels, as well as
one-day tours, bird-watching and extreme
sports.
