Nicaragua Blames Costa Rica For Energy Shortage
A report in Saturday's edition of Nicaragua's leading newspaper, La Prensa, places the blame on Costa Ricans for the energy shortage the country is suffering, as it rations electrical power.
 

"Granadinos" (residents of Granada, Nicaragua) carry on with their life as usual in the face of daily electrical power blackouts. Residents now to get things down before 8am when the electricity is cut and water is out until later in the afternoon. The energy crisis has forced the Nicaraguan Electrical Institute (ICE) to ration electrical power throughout the country, supplying the energy for only a maximum of 16 hours a day.
