TLC Will Be Approved By December, President Arias Says
President Oscar Arias is painting himself an optimist, though at at times impatient, during his first 100 days in second round in the presidential chair.

 

Though Mother's Day was last Tuesday (August 15), the holiday will be legally celebrated tomorrow (Monday). Many Costa Ricans have asked the government to return the tradition to the its original day, giving up a long weekend in the process.  All banks, government offices and most businesses will be closed tomorrow.
