Two Tons of Cocaine
The Costa Rican police
arrested four Colombians
who tried to hide in the
jungle after their boat
ran aground when chased
by a U.S. Coast Guard
cutter which partakes in
the joint U.S.-Costa
Rica anti-drug war.
The men were carrying one ton of cocaine, which was confiscated by local
authorities, as was
their boat.
Four other Colombians
were caught by the U.S.
Coast Guard after a
chase which ended when
they set their boat
afire.
Apparently, they were
carrying at least
another ton of cocaine,
which authorities were
trying to recover in
order to prevent the
drug from falling into
undesirable hands. |
