Mother's Day Lottery On Sale
Next Week
Mother's Day is fast approaching
and the Junta de Protección
Social de San José (JPS) is
prepared.
For the August 14 draw, the JPS
is preparing 200.000 lottery
tickets that will pay out
¢180.000.000 colones
(us$374.000) as the first prize.
Mother's Day in Costa Rica is
August 15 and is a "legal"
holiday.
Consolation prizes will be
¢15.000.000 colones for second
prize and ¢7.000.000 colones for
third prize.
Beginning next Wednesday the
tickets will be on sale and will
cost ¢500 colones for a fraction
or ¢5.000 for an entire number.
The numbers 13, 14, and 15 are
most sought out. Lottery vendors
say that those numbers will sell
out in the first two or three
days.
