Gasoline Price to Go Up
Get ready for another round of gasoline price increases, as the Refinadora Costarricense Petroleo (RECOPE) made a request to the Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Públicos (ARESEP) - the regulating body on public prices and services - for an increase due to the high price of a barrel of crude oil.

When the increase is approved, the price for a litre of super gasoline will jump to 394 colones (us$0.82) and diesel to ¢282 colones.

The last change in gasoline prices was in early June when the price dropped ¢5 colones a litre following several price increaes since January of this year.
