Rain Affects All Parts
of the Country
From Santa Ana to Atenas,
to Acosta, Tempisque,
Guanacaste and Parrita,
Quepos, mother nature
has hit every part of
the country hard during
the past week, killing
more than a dozen
persons, destroying
homes leaving hundreds
homeless and affecting
thousands.
Guanacaste Under Water
Heavy rain, flooding,
mudslides and damaged
bridges are affecting
life in parts of Costa
Rica as the country
lives through the last
weeks of rainy season,
that according to the
weatherman could last
into November.
Puntarenas With
Greatest Growth in Construction
Between January and
August of this year the province with
the greatest number of construction
permits issued is Puntarenas, with more
than 5 million square metres (m2) Tof
construction, similar to the number
registered in all of 2006.
Air Caraibes Begins
Flying To Costa Rica in
December
As we reported earlier
this month, the French
airline Air Caraibes, on
of the four new airlines
to be offering service
to and from Costa Rica,
will begin operations to
San José from the France
and the Antilles in
December.
