Quakes Shake Costa Rica

Rica (Ovsicori) reports
that three separate
earthquakes shook Costa
Rica, the first on
Friday measuring 3.8 on
the Richter scale shook
the provinces of San
José and Cartago.
The Friday quake
occurred at 6:05am,
originating five
kilometres and 15
kilometres deep
northwest of Santa María
de Dota in the southern
zone.
On Sunday the ground
shook again as two
earthquares in the
Central Pacific were
felt.
The first, measuring 3.7
on the Richter scale
ocuurred at 5:31am,
seven kilometres
southwest of Parrita,
the second at 9:48am,
measuring 3.6 on the
Richter scale, hit the
same spot.
The second was also felt
in the Central Valley.
The OVISCORI is located
at the Universidad
Nacional (UNA) in
Heredia, nortwest of San
