Assembly Cost Panama Two Million
The 37th General Assembly of the Organization of
American States cost Panama almost us$2 million
dollars, the National Foreign Ministry reported
Friday.
According to a report published by the Foreign
Affairs Ministry, the government used exactly
us$1,893,000 dollars to celebrate the three day
meeting (June 3-5) to debate issues related to
energy and sustainable development.
Expenses included costs for improvements and the
renting of the Atlapa Convention Center, as well
as the arrangements carried out at Tocumen
International Airport and at Bolivar Palace, the
Foreign Ministry headquarters.
