Arab League Praises Costa Rica
For Their Stance Towards Israel
The Arab League has praised
highly the position of some
Latin American countries towards
Israel, Jordanian press sources
have revealed.
During the meeting of permanent
delegates of the Arab League on
Tuesday, the Assistant
Secretary-General for Political
Affairs in the Arab League,
Ahmad Bin Hali, that the
delegates applauded Costa Rica
and El Salvador for "correcting
the location of their embassies"
to Israel by moving from
occupied Jerusalem to Tel Aviv.
'Petra' pointed out that Bin
Hali described the decision of
these two Latin American
countries as consistent with
United Nations Security Council
resolutions which consider East
Jerusalem as territory occupied
in 1967 and does not recognize
any steps or measures by the
Israeli government in occupied
Jerusalem.
