Emily
An alert has been declared by
the Comisión Nacional de
Emergencias (CNE) for two areas
in Costa Rica that may be
affected Emily, the hurricane in
the Caribbena sea.
Cables and
Lamp Possible Cause of Calderón
Fire
The Fiscala de Delitos contra la
Vida (prosecutor's office for
homicide) is analyzing two lamps
and several cables found in a
storage room where the fire
began that killed 19 people at
the Calderón Guardia hospital on
Tuesday.

Record Soup
The tourist town of Sarchi in
Alajuela was the scene for the
preparation of a record soup
prepared by 40 chefs using 400
kilos of premium tomatoes, 75
kilos of carrots and many, many
kilos of other ingredients to
make enough soup to feed 2.000
people.
