Arias Asks Honesty of Traffic
Cops
"This government has made the
promise to give back Costa
Ricans the confidence in their
public officials, and the only
way to do that, is to be very
strict and transparent, and
little by little, with our own
examples we will demonstrate
that we are there to serve the
people", were the words of Costa
Rican president, Oscar Arias, to
the Policía de Tránsito
officials during a visit of the
traffic police headquarters.
Like a rate, a thief
made his way into a
sewer pipe never to be
seen again by police
officers chasing him,
getting away with the
theft of a cellular
phone and a wallet from
a man who alerted
police, who gave chase.
However, police did
catch with two
accomplices, 16 and 14
