Miracle: Brazilian woman
survives 6 shots in head
A Brazilian woman survived six
shots in the head after she was
attacked by her former husband
who wanted her back, Brazilian
media reported.
The 21-year-old housewife
Patricia Goncalves Pereira was
shot Friday in the small city of
Monte Claros, about 900
kilometers north of Sao Paulo,
after an altercation with her
former husband, who was
reportedly upset because she
refused to get back together
with him.
Pereira was released from the
hospital a day after the
incident and her ex-husband was
still at large.
Doctors could not explain how
Pereira survived the attack. The
32-caliber bullets didn't break
through her skull and didn't
even need to be immediately
extracted, doctors said.
"I know this was a miracle,"
Patricia told Globo TV. "Now I
just want to extract the bullets
and live my life."
