"romeros" are getting ready for
the annual tradition, the walk
to Cartago to pay homage to La
Virgen de Los Angeles.

Immigration Loosens Visa
Restrictions To 102 Countries
Coming to Costa Rica has now
been made easy by the
immigration service that has
eliminated or reduced visa
requirements to 102 countries
that can now travel to Costa
Rica only on a "normal" visa and
in some cases just a passport.
Foreign Investment Up
The amount of direct foreign
investment in Costa Rica this
year will surpass the early
estimates of the Central Bank
and is likely to reach, for the
first time ever, us$1 billion.
IDB Calls For Tenders On Water
Management
The Inter-American Development
Bank (IDB) has called on
consultancies to submit tenders
on studying Costa Rica's water
resources and improving on the
first stage of the country's
integrated management plan (EGIRH),
IDB reported in a release.
