Faithful Getting Ready For the Annual "Romeria"
With a little over a week to go, "romeros" are getting ready for the annual tradition, the walk to Cartago to pay homage to La Virgen de Los Angeles.

 

A group of children dressed in traditional Guanacaste costumes visit the national handcraft fair in celebration of the 182nd anniversary of the Guanacaste province's annexation to Costa Rica, Saturday. Guanacaste was a province of Nicaragua before it was annexed by Costa Rica July 25,1824.

Immigration Loosens Visa Restrictions To 102 Countries
Coming to Costa Rica has now been made easy by the immigration service that has eliminated or reduced visa requirements to 102 countries that can now travel to Costa Rica only on a "normal" visa and in some cases just a passport.
