Apathy Reigned Over Municipal Elections
With an average of 79.61%, absenteeism was the big winner in yesterdays municipal elections that saw a majority of the PLN candidates winning the mayoral races, including incumbent Johnny Araya in San José.


Children wave flags of the Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN) after winning 59 of 81 mayoral races in an election that almost 80% of the voters did not bother to show up.

Centenarian Looking Forward To 2010 Elections
