Small Turnout At Jaco Festival

Small Turnout At Jaco Festival
"Viva el Jefe" was the chant greeting the Puerto Rican Daddy Yankee at Saturday's concert "Beach Music Festival" in Jacó.

Some 3.500 people - far short of the 30.000 organizers had said would be in attendance - took part in the day long festival.

Daddy Yankee came on stage at 9:15pm, closing out the festival at 10:45m, celebrating his 31st birthday with those in attendance.

Some of the Daddy Yankee's hits include "gasolina" and “Lo que pasó, pasó”.

Organizers say the combination of the festival following the Palmares festival and ahead of return to classes left people with little money to attend the concert as the reason for the small turnout.
