Bolivia: Coca Leaves
Eradication
LA PAZ - The Bolivian
state prepares for the
celebration of a
national act to
officially announce the
achievement of the
eradication of coca
leaves (12,355 acres in
area).
Social Defense Vice
Minister Felipe Caceres
disclosed the official
announcement will take
place in the central
region of Chimore with
the participation of
President Evo Morales,
among other state
authorities.
Caceres stressed Bolivia
have achieved the
pacific rationalization
of 12,355 acres of coca
leaves without the use
of violence or
herbicides (chemicals),
two months early.
Military and police men
and same coca producers
will also attend the
official announcement
celebration,
anonymously. |
