Big Drop In Gasoline
Prices Next Week, ¢152 A
Litre
Christmas for drivers
will come early with the
expected announcement by
the Autoridad Reguladora
de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) to
reduce gasoline prices
by ¢152 colones for a
litre of super, ¢150 for
regular and ¢85 for
diesel. The new prices
are expected to be in
effect by not later than
next Friday, 12
December.
The new prices to be set
by the regulatory agency
would be a litre of
super gasoline will sell
for ¢488, regular for
¢474 and diesel for
¢524.
The reduction will
effectively mean a
decrease of ¢9.120
colones to fill a 60
litre gasoline tank with
super, ¢9.000 with
regular and ¢5.100 with
diesel.
On the same day of the
expected pride
reduction, the state
refinery, the Refinadora
Costarricense de
Petroleo (Recope), will
be making its monthly
request for another
price adjustment, which
is the price of crude
oil on international
markets continues to
drop or hold steayd,
could mean a further
reduction in prices at
the pumps in Costa Rica.
