Quake Rocks Nicaraguan Pacific
MANAGUA  - A sea quake of 4.6 degrees on the Richter Scale was reported off Nicaraguan Pacific coasts but caused neither material damages nor victims.

Nicaragua's Instituto de Estudios Territoriales (INETER) Seismologist Carlos Guzman said the 05:02 am (local time) tremor occurred almost five miles deep off the El Astillero coast, nearly 74 mile south of Managua with epicenter 11.13 N and 86.61 W.

The event was blamed on clashes between the Cocos and Caribe tectonic plates.
