Suspicious Order to Try
Posada in US
HAVANA - Just three days
after Panama's Vice
President Samuel Lewis
announced his country
will soon demand the US
extradite Luis Posada
Carriles, the New
Orleans Court of Appeals
ordered to try him in
that northern country
for migratory fraud.
According to the El Paso
Times newspaper, a panel
of three judges from the
Fifth Circuit Court of
Appeal "ruled that
Posada will be tried for
lying to federal
authorities in his bid
to become a US citizen."
The suspicious element
of this Court's surprise
measure is that it is
the same entity that
broke records for
slowness to analyze that
case, Granma newspaper
reported Friday.
The decision is a new
episode of delaying
maneuvers, destined to
provide a false
justification to the
Bush government to save
the CIA agent who has
carried out for over 40
years dust tasks paid by
that Agency.
Posada Carriles'
criminal record includes
the explosion in mid air
of a Cuban aircraft that
killed 73 passengers in
