the launching pad that
the Government of the
People’s Republic of
China.
The office will be used
for the development of
Beijing’s optimistic
outlook at the new
diplomatic ties with
Costa Rica and an
improved approach to the
other Central American
nations.
Among the first issues,
China has pledged
economic aid, technical
cooperation, backing in
foreign policies, and a
free trade agreement,
whose feasibility is to
