Ortega Opens Program against Hunger
Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega inaugurated the program Hunger Zero, with a call to all the Nicaraguans to fight to put an end to poverty affecting70 percent of the population of this Central American country.

The inauguration of the government's program took place Saturday in Raití, a remote indigenous community in the riverside of Coconut River, bordering with Honduras, and located at more than 310 miles northeast of Managua.

In accordance with their promoters, the program Hunger Zero combines the alimentary help with the technical training, so families are able to produce their own foods.

The total cost of the project is of 150 million dollars, and seeks to benefit to 15 thousand families per year.
