Integration
Presidents Manuel
Zelaya(Honduras) and
Antonio Saca (El
Salvador) advocated on
Wednesday to speedup the
Central American
integration process.
In today's sessions of
the Central American
Parliament (PARLACEN),
in the northern Honduran
city of San Pedro Sula,
both presidents said the
union of Guatemala, El
Salvador, Nicaragua and
Honduras has shown
progress, such as
raising borders and
reduction of visa
procedures.
Zelaya pointed out that
PARLACEN legislators
want to establish a
community of towns on
the Gulf of Fonseca, on
the Pacific Coast shared
by El Salvador,
Nicaragua and Honduras.
Saca showed his
disposition to reach
mutual agreements and
create programs in favor
of development of the
Central American
nations.
He said he hoped
integration reaches the
point of a common
passport, economy, and
single regional
currency. |
