Honduran Military Administration Criticized
Hondurans considered the governmental decision of placing military bosses at the head of the National Company of Electric Power (ENEE) with the purpose of solving the administrative setback of the entity incorrect.

According to a survey made Monday and published by the local press, 55 percent of people do not support the decision to assign three Honduran Army Generals of Division and other high officials to take control of state ENEE entity last week.

The results of the poll, said Honduran newspaper La Prensa, coincide with the point of view of social and managerial groups that have referred to the topic.

More than 60 percent of those consulted believes that this control will not be able to face and stop the crisis of the entity.

In the 70´s and 80´s of last century the military officials acquired state enterprises, including companies and banks, an insurance company and a cement factory and they failed, La Prensa remembers.

Concepcion Jimenez, Commander of the 105th Infantry Brigade, now in charge of managerial activities, assured that they were able to restore a part of the money owed to ENEE workers in two days.

The control of the company by military forces took place after Honduran President Manuel Zelaya swore in the new inspecting commission.

The military officials occupy positions like those of operative manager, security, organization of gangs, court and reconnection, human resources, public relationships, finances and budget.
