Panama to Talk Natives Issues
Bolivian
Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca will meet
Tuesday with members of Panama's Legislative
Commission for Indigenous Affairs.
The meeting will involve Panama's Congress
Chairman Elias Castillo and Bolivian Ambassador
to Panama Edgar Soliz, according to the official
anouncement.
The meeting, to run along the 37th general
assembly of the Organization of American States
(OAS) will discuss the situation of indigenous
peoples at regional scale.
Parliament sources said Panama seeks to approve
a resolution to promote and protect the basic
rights of Indigenous peoples in the region.
