A woman identified only as
Raquel has decided to offers
passersby at the Escazú bus stop
at the corner of the park in
front of the Ministerio de Salud
building to show her breasts for
˘100 colones (us$0.20 cents).
The "show" begins at 8:00am and
without music the woman begins
her striptease, exposing her
breasts, to anyone who will
offer her ˘100. However, if the
gawker wants to see more, Raquel
tells them it will cost more.
To see the bare breasts its
˘100, to see more, the "mechudo"
(bush), it will be another ˘100
- for a total of ˘200 - Raquel's
entertainment director tells
gawkers. As people pass by the
intersection, in the
professional style of a barker,
the entertainment director,
offers Raquel's services.
Once the couple have collected
enough money to buy a bottle,
the show ends, only to begin
again the next day.
People waiting for the bus and
others passing by have to endure
the show, some complaining to
police, whose response is that
the nudist shows in the park is
