Salvadorian police
arrest 20 illegal S.
American migrants
El Salvador's National
Civilian Police (PNC)
has arrested 16
Ecuadorians, three
Bolivian and a Peruvian
who were traveling
illegally to the
country, according to
news reaching here on
Monday.
The illegal migrants,
including three minors
and three women, were
planning to head for the
United States through El
Salvador. Their vehicle
was stopped in El
Amatillo on the
Salvadorian border with
Honduras.
The illegal migrants had
been handed over to
Salvadorian migration
authorities for
deportation.
Police said they had
arrested the driver, a
Guatemalan identified as
Rouglas Roberto
Villatoro, and charged
him with
human-trafficking.
