Nicaragua: Terrorist Bail
Dangerous
Analyst Oscar Rene Vargas
considers that the possible
bailing out of Posada Carriles
by the United States has created
a dangerous situation for the
peoples that defend other social
alternatives.
Posada Carriles release would
have favored that the rest of
terrorists financed directly or
indirectly by the US government
be able to keep working, knowing
that they were protected, Vargas
said.
According to the Nicaraguan
sociologist, the most endangered
countries, as a result of that
impunity sign, are Venezuela,
Cuba, Bolivia, and Nicaragua,
because they boost social
projects that are not to
Washington's liking.
The analyst also said this US
government double standard
already appeared in Nicaragua in
the 80's, when it resorted to
drug traffic to finance its war
against the Sandinista
Revolution.
