Argentina to March for The Five
The Argentine Committee for the
Release of The Five called for a
march in support of the Cuban
antiterrorism fighters to be
carried out Tuesday in front of
the US Embassy.
Friday´s communiqué issued by
the committee explains that
Antonio Guerrero, Fernando
Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez,
Ramon Labanino and Rene Gonzalez
are five Cubans serving severe
sentences in maximum-security
prisons in the US.
They have been imprisoned for
eight years while notorious
murderers and confessed
terrorists like Orlando Bosch,
Luis Posada Carriles, and others
whose terrorism against Cuba has
been absolutely proven, enjoy
protection from the White House.
For more than 40 years
Washington has tolerated the
existence of a terrorist network
against Cuba in Miami, which has
left more than 3,500 dead and
encouraged dozens of bomb and
assassination attempts.
Those are the reasons they are
calling on the Argentine
population to join the activists
of the Committee in their march
to demand the immediate release
of the five Cuban prisoners of
the empire.
