El Salvador Reports Police
Cruelty
Police brutality is clearly seen
every day in El Salvador through
coercive measures against the
civil population, local Nuevo

denounced.
Members of that force frisk and
even insult passers-by and
harass cars, van and bus
passengers without apparent
reasons.
According to the daily, men are
usually the most mistreated, and
run the risk of being arrested
if they protest.
Constant human rights violation
in El Salvador are also
committed by those in charge of
processing any report at police
stations.
This Central American state
averages ten homicides a day,
and some do not rule out the
existence of paramilitary
groups, which commit all kinds
of outrages.
