Nicaraguan Parliament Undefined
Five days after presidential and
legislative elections in
Nicaragua the number of each
party s deputies is still
unknown.
The Electoral Supreme Council s
(CSE) delay is bringig on many
speculations and demands.
Extra official data cited Friday
by the local press gave an
account that the Sandinista
National Liberation Front (FSLN)
will hold 38 legislators at the
National Assembly.
The Nicaraguan Liberal Alliance
(ALN) will seat 25 deputies and
22 the other right-wing force
the Constitutional Liberal Party
(PLC).
The Sandinista Renewal Movement
(MRS) would have won five seats,
according to speculations.
The PLC, controlled by ex
president Arnoldo Aleman, now in
prison accused of corruption
committed during his term of
office (1997-2001) is in second
place, in front of ALN.
The MRS also denounced
irregularities so they are
waiting for the CSE final result
November 17 to 19.
