Cubans in Panama: End US
Blockade
A group of Cubans resident in
Panama, members of the Circle of
Study of the thoughts of Jose
Marti, demanded the end of the
US economic, financial and
commercial blockade on the
island Friday.
Cubans have suffered many needs
brought by the cruel blockade,
besides the serious damages to
the national economy, losses
valued at 86 billion dollars,
their communiqué highlights.
The document recalls that
Washington has hindered export
of food to Cuba and has refused
to allow sale of medicines with
US ingredients, which negatively
affects nutritional level and
health.
Similarly, the group expressed
support for the recent
overwhelming UN vote rejecting
the genocidal blockade
maintained by successive US
administrations against the
Caribbean island.
