Costa
Rica Run 2006
If single discipline racing is
more your style, check out this
years edition of the Costa Rica
run, which will be held from
August 19th-31st.
The run covers a distance of 200
kms in stages, varying in length
from 35 km to 50 km and covering
terrain as diverse as rain
forests, mountains, some costal
paths and volcanoes.
The race is organized by
Frenchman Paul Vilcot, who also
organizes the raid Celtique, the
Raid des Trolls and is currently
working on a new race in
Madagascar.
The Costa Rica run is open to
all but more suitable for
ultrarunners and walkers which a
good standard of fitness plenty
of experience with elevation.
There is a possibility to bring
along a companion to the race
and also to extend the stay in
Costa Rica by a week to enjoy
the delights of this desirable
location.
