Drug Business Dismantled in El Salvador
The Salvadoran police dismantled a drug business in the central zone of El Salvador, which clients were controlled by means of video cameras, said Godofredo Miranda, head of the Anti-Drug Division (DAN) in statements given Friday in this capital.

He said that the possible distributor operated in the municipality of San Juan Opico, department of La Libertad.

Customers got close to a window, asked for the drug, put the money in a gap, and got the product from there, according to the police report Friday.

Miranda added a man called Raymundo Orellana Cortez, 46, was identified as the owner of the whole business, who hid himself behind two video cameras and TV monitors to avoid visual contact with customers.

In the action, more than 19,000 dollars in cash, a revolver, an unknown amount of drug, and the video cameras were seized.

Together with Raymundo Orellana Cortez, DAN agents arrested Gladys Avila, Dora Jimenez, Margarita Diaz, and a 17-year-old boy.

The operation was made in the middle of strong work by the local police, after a cargo full with a substance called Glivec (a strong substance used to treat patients with chronic leukaemia, valued in 377,000 dollars) disappeared from the Salvadoran Custom Office.

Last Saturday, the police detected a woman trying to take a lot of heroine valued in 74,312 dollars out of the country, hidden inside five soccer balls being part of an errand package.
