Russia and Venezuela Cooperation Growing Goals
Venezuela´s President Hugo Chavez said from Caracas that perspectives to increase multifaceted cooperation with the Russian Federation are extensive, the national radio network reports in this capital Friday.

Five days from the beginning of his fourth visit to Russia since 2001, the Venezuelan leader highlighted Caracas´ interest to cooperate with Moscow in the energy sector.

"Russia has new technologies and enormous experience in extracting and transporting gas, so that we invite its main companies to participate in the construction of the largest gas pipeline of the world, which will cross South America," said Chavez.

Venezuela is also ready to deepen cooperation with Russian companies in prospecting and extracting natural gas, oil and the construction of petrochemical plants, expressed Chavez.

The head of State termed positive the increase of the technical-military cooperation with Moscow and praised the conclusion of contracts to purchase 24 SU-30 fighters and a lot of MI-7 helicopters.

In his next visit, Chavez aims to boost and develop 37 agreements and 11 letters of intention between both nations.
