Alarcon: US Would Have Cuba Disappear
The President of Cuba's National Assembly (Parliament), Ricardo Alarcon, denounced the US adding of new and secret measures to its so-called Bush Plan, with which Washington tries to annex the Caribbean country.

Alarcon said that the US plan includes an appendix with other measures that remain secret due to national security reasons.

In an article written by Alarcon which was published by Granma daily Wednesday, the president of the Cuban Parliament recalled that on May 20, 2004, George W. Bush announced his plan to annex Cuba, which includes more than 450 pages and was object of worldwide criticism.

According to Bush´s plan, "Cuba would just disappear," said Alarcon, saying that the US program threatens to exterminate Cuban people.

The White House intensifies its economic blockade on Cuba through that plan, as well as increases the funding and material support to internal mercenary groups, and carries out a growing disinformation and propaganda campaign.

The Bush plan, noted Alarcón, "would try to vacate millions of Cubans from their homes in less than a year and under the supervision and control of the US government."

"The national economy, education and health systems would become completely private, and the farmers' cooperatives would disappear to reinstall the old division of land into large estates," asserted Alarcon.

The President of the Cuban Parliament noted that the "US insistence on defeating other countries' governments, changing their political, social, and economic systems and imposing its authority is an insult to international law, only seen in those with fascist mentality."

"When talking about Bush and his buddies, anything is possible," warned Alarcon when concluding his article.
