What's One,Ttwo or Three
Centimetres More Worth?
Ticos Worried About The Size of
Their Penis. Accodirng to a
report in the daily Spanish
newspaper Al Día, ¢1 million to
¢1.5 million colones (us$2.000
to us$3.000). That is the
average cost of the enlargement
of the penis, an operation that
has become of increasing to
intest to many Costa Rican men.
According to the report, five
patients per week, who are
worried with the size of their
penis, visit a urologist to
discuss the operation, resulting
in an average of 10 operations a
year.
Doctor Manuel Álvarez Zarnowski
confirmed the ten operations a
year that allow Ticos to enjoy a
longer penis.
"There are three operations to
increase the size of the penis:
one is to reduce the amount of
fat around the pelvis areas,
which allows the penis to be
more pronounced; the other is
section ligament so that the
penis pendules more; and the
third is inject fat into the
penis so that it appears
larger", explained the doctor.
The urologists consulted for the
report say that the maximum
lenghth that the penis can be
extended by the methods
described is 3.5 centimetres
(1.4 inches).
Sex expert Mauro Fernández
believes that in most cases the
surgery is not necessary, saying
that men have the wrong
perception on the size of their
penis.
"The average size of the penis
is between 12 and 14 centimetres
(4.7 to 5.5 inches). What
happens is that men see the
actors in pornographic films and
believe that is the normal size.
But that is only a fantasy",s
said Fernández.
The same is the opiniong of
doctor Arieh Grunhaus, of the
hospital Cima. The Al Día
interviewed the doctor who spoke
candidly, that he refers
patients worried about their
penis size to a psychologist.
"Though the operation is simple,
I want to make it clear that the
results are not satisfying",
said the doctor.
