US Embassy To Charge ˘1.500
Colones for a Visa Appointment
The U.S. Embassy in San José
announced changes in the number
to call for an appointment to
obtain a visa to enter the
United States.
In the past, those interested in
obtaining a visa had to call a
900 number with a cost attached
to it to make an appointment.
Now, the number to call is 208
4949 and will cost ˘1.500
colones to make an appointment.
The amount can be charged to a
credit or debit card. The
change means you can now call
from any phone, including a
public phone.
Calling hours are between 8am
and 8pm.
The cost for a visa application
remains at us$100.
