Arlene Dumps More Rain Our Way
Tropical Storm Arlene is
expected to dump a lot of water
on the Central and South Pacific
areas as well as the Central
Valley, according to the
Instituto Meteorológico Nacional
(IMN) - the weatherman.
The IMN informs that Arlene is
moving north at a slow pace and
should hit Cuba by today.
The storm will mean strong winds
and lots of rain for Costa Rica
during today (Friday) and
possibly until Sunday.
This morning, San José woke
cloudy and rain in many places
in contrast to a sunny morning
that is normal for this time of
year.
The Comission Nacional de
Emergencias (CNE) is asking for
residents to be alert. The heavy
rains means swollen rivers and
mudslides, as well as cause
problems for boaters and
airplanes.
