550 Kg of Cocaine Seized in
Limón
The Policía de Control de
Control de Drogas (PCD) del
Ministerio de Seguridad Pública
on Sunday confiscated 550 kilos
of cocaine in Carmen Dos de
Siquirres, Limón.
Three Colombians were arrested
while driving in a vehicle with
a boat in tow. According to
police, the drug was found in a
hidden compartment of the boat.
Police say that the men were
nervous when stopped by police,
which led the officials to
suspect something and decided to
search the vehicle and the boat,
where they found the load. The
haul is the largest seizure on
land.
To date this year, more than
4.200 kilos of cocaine has been
seized in Limón by the PCD,
making Limón the province with
the largest confiscation record.
