Ericsson and ICE Sign
Contract of GSM Service
After an uphill battle for more
than year, originally turned
down by the Contraloría General
de la Republica, a court
challenge and a reversal
decision by the Contraloría, the
Ericsson company and the
Instituto Costarricense de
Electricidad (ICE) have signed
the us$130 million dollar
contract to install, operate,
optimize and maintain a national
GSM/GPRS 1800 MHz network in
Costa Rica.

The Comisión Nacional de
Emergencias de Costa Rica (CNE)
called for a state of alert for
the northern and coastal areas
of the Caribbean due to the
heavy rains that have been
falling on the region since
Sunday.

Benjamin Daniels Woods, is not
known as yet, the Organismo de
Investigación Judicial (OIJ) has
two suspects in custody and are
now trying to put the pieces
together.
Toledo
Asks Other PUSC Candidates to
Quit and Join Him
Ricardo Toledo Carranza,
Legislative Deputy and former
Ministro de la Presidencia until
late last year, announced his
candidacy to the presidential
nomination to the Partido Unidad
Social Cristiana (PUSC) last
week and yesterday made a call
to others running in the
nomination to quit and join his
team.
