Illegal hunters who killed a "manigordo" in the protected area of Guanacaste, were arrested by
authorities of the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The can currently in be found in Costa Rica only in large wooded areas, such as the Guanacaste National Park, Palo Verde, Arenal-Monteverde, Tortuguero, Barra del Colorado and Corcovado.
