Inflation Expected to be 12
percent
The inflation expected for the
next 12 months remains strong at
close to 12 percent.
This surfaced in the Central
Bank’s Monthly Inflation Outlook
Survey, in which consultants,
academicians, and businessmen
evaluate the performance of
consumer prices.
In July, for example, the
forecast for the June 30, 2006,
through June 30, 2007, averaged
11.9 percent.
Early this year, the average
expected inflation was 12.7
percent, in January, but after
March it has been close to 12
percent.
