Cuba Women Trust in the
Revolution
Cuban women rely on the
continuity of the social process
in the island and are pleased
about the satisfactory healing
of President Fidel Castro after
undergoing an intestinal surgery
two weeks ago.
Sonia Berterbides, member of the
National Secretariat of the
Federation of Cuban Women (FMC),
affirmed the feminine population
in the island pledged for the
union of the people with the
Revolution.
On July 31, Fidel Castro issued
a proclamation in which he
temporarily ceded his government
and party duties to the nation´s
First Vice President Gen. Raul
Castro Ruz and other officials.
From that moment on, millions of
Cubans of all social strata,
political and mass
organizations, have extended
their support to the Revolution
through meetings in work centers
and messages to the media.
Bereterbides said the FMC also
buttressed the proclamation of
our Commander in Chief and his
orientations.
