Third explosion at JFK Library in Boston

Editor’s Note:  It is now believed that the incident at the JFK Library was an unrelated incident, related to a mechanic fire.

April 15th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) A third explosion has been reported by officials at the JFK Library in Boston, after a pair of twin explosions rocked the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, injuring dozens and killing at least two people.  Officials say that the explosion at the JFK Library was NOT a controlled explosion, after confusing reports about a fourth explosion, which authorities say was an explosive device at a different location that was destroyed in a controlled explosion by authorities.

U.S. Vice President, Joe Biden, called the explosions a “bombing,” though there has yet to be any official confirmation that the explosions were an act of terrorism.

The blasts occurred a few seconds apart on opposite sides of the finish line, according to CNN.

The explosions occurred about an hour after the first of the race’s nearly 27,000 runners crossed the finish line.  The race was halted following the explosions, as well as subway service in the area.
