Great Weekend To Visit the Beach
Looking for a getaway this weekend? The nstituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) - the national weather service - is calling for lots of sun for the coastal areas and cool mornings for the Central valley.

Rosario Alfaro of the IMN, said that the Central and North Pacific as well as the Caribbean coast is ideal for a beach vacation.

The South Pacific region, however, will be probably filled with rain. Alfaro added that rain could also fall on the Central Valley, though they will be scattered.

The cold mornings of the Central Valley are expected to continue through the weekend. A record of 12 Celsius mornings was recorded in Tres Rios, with an altitude of more than 1.100 metres above seal level, on Thursday, a little higher in other high altitude areas of the Central Valley.

"It is certain that it has been cold during the past week, but not any colder than it was in December", said Alfaro.

The cold mornings and scattered showers in Central Valley are expected to continue for another week at least.
