Honduras on Rain Alert
Heavy rains in Honduras
have left two people
dead and hundreds of
others affected thus
far, Honduran
authorities reported
Monday.
Due to the severity of
the weather, Honduran
authorities have
declared a state of red
alert in the
municipalities of
Pimienta, Potrerillos,
San Manuel and El
Progreso.
In addition, two people
have been reported
missing and the fire
department has received
12 emergency calls, with
huge damage in the south
as well as other regions
of the country.
In Marcovia, nearly 100
houses and 143 families
were affected by the
flooding of the
Choluteca River. |
