Panama to Debate US
Trade Accord
The National Assembly of
Panama will discuss from
Monday the Trade
Promotional Agreement
with the US that the
Council of Ministers
approved on July 3.
Foreign Affair
Commission Chairman
Hector Aleman said they
will first choose the
method to discuss the
documents with over 250
articles and annexes.
Yet social, business,
professional and
political organizations
and unions detract due
to broad awareness of
its poor credibility and
unbalanced economic and
trade policy.
In addition they think
its terms will affect
national agriculture and
industry and pave the
way for sacking and
exploitation of national
resources by US
transnationals. |
