Treasury Ministers as well as international
financial institutions will seek ways to
handle the present economic crisis at a
meeting in Chile on July 3.
Chilean Treasury ministers announced that 32
nations of the region are invited as well as
the top level officials of the International
Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the
Inter-American Development Bank to analyze
policies that respond to the world economic
crisis.
This is the Second Meeting of Treasury
Ministers of Latin America and the Caribbean
for this goal, after one in Cancun, Mexico.
In the meeting to be held in the Vina del
Mar resort they will also deal with
financial supervision, logistics,
transportations, food prices and alternative
and efficient forms of energy. |
